Delete your account and data
You can permanently delete your NestedCerts account at any time, from the website or the mobile app. NestedCerts is operated by Nested Technology Group Pty Ltd, ABN 54 698 422 552, Queensland 4113, Australia.
If you can sign in
Sign in, open Account Settings and choose Delete Account. This takes effect immediately and needs no approval from us. The same option is in the mobile app under Settings.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@nestedcerts.com from the address on the account. We verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything, then action it within 30 days and confirm by email. There is no charge and you do not need the app installed. We require verification because an account cannot be deleted on an unverified request — otherwise anyone could delete someone else's account by typing their address.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your name and email address
- All quiz, exam and architecture bonus round progress and scores
- Your flagged questions and study history
- Any certificates you earned, including their public verification pages
- Notification preferences and any device push token
What we have to keep
Records of payments are retained for seven years because tax and financial record-keeping law requires it. These are billing records held by us and by our payment processor, Stripe. They are not part of your study data.
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent and progress, scores and certificates cannot be recovered afterwards. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription, so cancel that first. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in that store.
How long it takes
Deleting from account settings takes effect immediately. An emailed request is actioned within 30 days of verification. Backups rotate out within a further 30 days.
